Jam Cruise Yacht Club - Jan. 9
The Jam Cruise Yacht Club theme night is going to be celebrated during our Sail Away Party! Come as a yacht captain or come as a country club member, just come get your boogie on! Break out the ascots and navy blazers... Jam Cruise is going nautical! To celebrate our 10th Sailing, we'll have one night dedicated to anything and everything seaworthy. Give us your best sailor impression or don a pair of topsider loafers and wrap a sweater around your shoulders for the ultimate "member's only" look. Ladies, don't forget your sun hats and oversized shades! We're going to give the Yacht Club lifestyle a run for its money, 'cause this Love Boat is far more than a 3-hour tour. All Aboard!
Go Green - Jan. 11
By popular demand, we're adding a 3rd theme night! Imagine floating through the Caribbean in a sea of green… And we're not just talking about the ocean beneath us! We want everyone on the ship to dress in green. You can be as creative - or not - as you want. See if Kermit was right when he said, "it's not easy being green," get "green with envy" or adopt a Greening theme like "Love the Earth." We want to see how Green you can be!
Mothership Masquerade - Jan. 13
Jam Cruise is the mothership of music events, and we're celebrating our 10th sailing with the craziest costume party to hit the deck. Don a mask and come dressed to funkin' impress. You are the ones who made Jam Cruise what it is and now's your chance to show us why this is the music event of the decade. We all know that bigger is better so let's do it up and turn this mother out!
One of the greatest aspects of Jam Cruise is the spontaneous musical collaborations that occur throughout the ship. Never before seen sit-ins are frequent all week long. And in the Jam Room, a venue set up for the artists on board to have a place to improv with each other, magic happens on a deeper level than anywhere we've ever seen in the live music scene. Various players flow on and off the stage like a seamless wave of rhythm. Sure, let's have 4 guitarists, 3 vocalists and two keyboard players on stage at once. Better yet, let's have 5 bass players...the more the merrier. Each instrument adds to the enchantment. Jams happen, songs happen, new bands are born, moments are embraced by all until the sun comes up. It's an unexplained phenomena. It works so well and is so coveted by artists and fans alike that you just must experience it for yourself to grasp the magnitude of just how cool the Jam Room is!
Your Jam Cruise 10 hosts are:
Repeat Offenders are our biggest fans, and also the heart and soul of what keeps this magical event afloat. You're inducted as a Repeat Offender once you've attended 4 or more Jam Cruises. Acquiring such a title comes with special gifts and perks each year, including a very special VIP party on-board Jam Cruise 10. When you're walking around the ship and you see someone sportin a robe don't think it means they just left the spa - they are merely showing off their RO status and feeling the love.
What could be better than being out in the middle of the ocean surrounded by beautiful people and amazing musicians? Having a microbrew in hand while you take it all in! Brews at Sea was introduced on Jam Cruise 6, and has since grown into a full stand alone bar that satiates us in the Cloud 9 office year round and gets craned onto the Pool Deck every January. Serving up a variety of microbrews in PLA compostable cups from 5 breweries from around the country, Brews at Sea is your place to get the quality craft beer you are used to at home while sailing the Caribbean. Information on participating breweries and activities involving them will be announced throughout the year.
We welcome the return of SweetWater Brewing Company as the main beer sponsor of Jam Cruise 10. SweetWater will be served at all bars throughout the ship so you don’t have to float the mainstream!
The Brews at Sea program brings some of the best microbrews from around the country to Jam Cruise for your sipping pleasure. Pick up your drink tickets on board and join us on the Pool Deck to enjoy the hoppy goodness of our Brews at Sea participants: Sweetwater Brewing Company, Atlanta, GA; Lagunitas Brewing Company, Petaluma, CA; Bell’s Brewery, Galesburg, MI; Breckenridge Brewery, Denver, CO; and Schlafly Beer, St. Louis, MO. Complimentary beer will be available at the Sail Away Party while supplies last.
The Jam Cruise Greening and Leaving a Positive Legacy Programs were proud to launch the Conscious Cruiser program on JC9. By participating and completing tasks on board, Conscious Cruisers received stamps on their CONSCIOUS CRUISER PASSPORT documenting their journey through the experiences that contributed toward making Jam Cruise a positive, conscious party at sea. Top stamp earners were entered to win a Pre-Book on JC 10 - just for doing the right thing! Tasks for the program include offsetting your carbon, contributing to the auction by donating an item or making a bid, participating in a Positive Legacy service project, attending the Panel DIscussion, and volunteering for a shift with Greening or Positive Legacy. Look for an expanded Conscious Cruiser Program on Jam Cruise 10 with announcements coming throughout the year.
See you on the ship Conscious Cruisers...
A kaleidoscope of sound awaits around every corner of the ship... One of the magical spaces waiting to meet you is in reception just outside the dining rooms in the 3 story atrium. This year, Marco Benevento, Nigel Hall, Matt Hubbard, Ivan Neville and Robert Walter will each take an evening to mesmerize you with an intimate solo set.
Each port stop brings exciting opportunities to explore new places, experience a vast array of cultural influences, try new foods and flavors, give back to the people who live in these island destinations, and much more.
